Renesmee Carlie Cullen

RENESMEE CARLIE CULLEN is a fictional character created by Stephenie Meyer and is present in the last book from the the Twilight saga - Breaking Dawn.
APPEARANCES - Breaking Dawn
Renesmee name is derived from the amalgamation of the names of Bella’s biological mother, RenĂ©e, and Edward’s adoptive mother, Esme. Her middle name, Carlie, is a combination of the names Carlisle, Edward’s adoptive father, and Charlie, Bella’s biological father. Renesmee is half human and half vampire, carrying blended both human and inhuman traits. She shares the same facial features and bronze hair as Edward, and the curls of her grandfather, Charlie. She has pale skin that glows dimly instead of characteristic sparkle that full-blooded vampires bare. Her heart pumps blood at a faster rate than normal humans, and the notable blush of her mother. Edward has stated that her skin was impenetrable as a normal vampire’s skin. Renesmee can survive on both blood and human food, but prefers human blood but will carry on the tradition of being a “vegetarian”. Renesmee grows at a fast rate, being able to speak only seven days after birth. She will reach physical maturity in seven years and will stop aging.
BIRTH
On their honeymoon, Bella and Edward go to Isle Esme and make love, despite Edward’s fear to hurt Bella. Soon after Bella finds herself having emotional swings, peculiar eating habits, and vertigo spells. After realizing that her period was late, and finding a lump in her belly, she realizes she is pregnant with Edward’s child. Hours after the discovery, the baby already begins to kick, and the Cullen family realizes that her pregnancy progresses at an extremely fast rate. The baby inside her begins expressing vampiric habits towards drinking blood and is so strong that it begins breaking ribs and sucking nutrients out of Bella, weakening her. Despite Edward’s insistence that the fetus should be removed in order to save Bella’s life, Bella is determined to keep the baby that she has come to love, after calling it “my little Nudger”. They discover that drinking human blood improves Bella’s condition and the baby’s, and Edward realizes that he can hear the baby’s thoughts. He starts to feel more kindly toward the baby, especially when he hears that the baby “absolutely adores Bella”. Bella believes that she is pregnant with a baby boy, and secretly names him EJ - Edward Jacob, after her husband Edward Cullen and her best friend Jacob Black, both of whom she loves.
Just weeks after the announced pregnancy, Edward, Rosalie, Alice and Jacob are forced to perform an emergency birthing. Bella’s body is nearly destroyed, and several ribs are broken, her spinal cord snapped. She loses vast amounts of blood, but she still manages to give birth. To Edward’s horror, Bella’s heart then stops beating. In order to save her, Edward injects her heart with some of his own venom and bites her body in several places, turning Bella into a vampire.
After Bella’s painful transformation, the Cullens worry that, as the baby is part human, Bella will be unable to control her thirst for blood around Renesmee. However, while hunting with Edward, Bella demonstrates extremely well developed self-control. Thus Bella is permitted to see Renesmee, and she finds that her child is still maturing and growing at a very fast rate.
